TESTAMENT, NEUROSIS Members Offer SUPER BOWL Predictions
February 1, 2008The folks at Rhapsody found some devout football fans who just so happen to moonlight in metal bands to give them their predictions for the big game. In honor of the 42nd Superbowl, here are some of the finest predictions from some of the darkest dudes they could find.
Chuck Billy, vocalist, TESTAMENT: "I think New England all the way. They're unstoppable. They play even better when they're down and have to comeback. The offensive line is giving Brady all day long. When he has that much time, watch out. Go Raiders!!!"
Scott Kelly, vocalist/guitarist, NEUROSIS: "I f*ck*ng hate the Patriots, man, I really do. I'm a Raiders fan and ever since they nixed the game in the playoffs five years ago, I just hate them. If I had my wish, Tom Brady would get his leg broken in the beginning of the game and the Giants would just crush the Patriots. But it's a dark time, 'cause I'm a Raiders fan and we're the worst thing ever right now, so I'm not really excited about the Super Bowl this year. But like I said, the best thing that could happen would be something really bad to the Patriots. I'd love to see them f*ck*ng lose, but I seriously doubt it. I imagine they'll just come out and scalp the Giants and it'll be over at halftime. It sucks, but all I can say is Darren McFadden is coming to the Raiders next year! But f*ck it, I'm ready for baseball."
John Henry, vocalist, DARKEST HOUR: "New York will crush with an iron fist and score 666 at what will be known as the most brutal Super Bowl in history."
Keith Buckley, vocalist, EVERY TIME I DIE: "I predict that the Buffalo Bills will rush the field and in the last seconds of the game, Scott Norwood will finally kick a field goal, defeating the New York Giants once and for all, and the Bills will be crowned greatest team in sports history and I will get muscles."
